E39 (1997 - 2003)
The BMW 5-Series (E39 chassis) was introduced in the United States as a 1997 model year car and lasted until the 2004 when the E60 chassis was released. The United States saw several variations including the 525i, 528i, 530i and 540i. -- View the E39 Wiki

Wow those Alpinas don't look like 18s for some reason.
But I'd say keep the Alpinas

Thule bars with thule bike holder. I got the bars on craigslist for cheap and ordered the bike holder on amazon.

The roof racks cause drag which can be heard unless you keep the sunroof closed.

Good deal. I just moved out on my own and I need a way to get my bike home definitely going to look into the bike holder once I get roof racks.

Changed the valve cover gasket and oil, replaced my torn steering rack boots, and got an alignment this weekend. All for around $230. The car is still running strong at 125,000 miles!

Nice tacticalbassist! I have to replace my valve cover gaskets as well after discovering oil in the spark plug wells. I bet it was satisfying tackling that job yourself.

It definitely was! It's a pretty easy job. I recommend replacing all 15 of the valve cover bolt grommets as well.
