How can I see if my car have xenon or bi-xenon?

02+ M3s have BiXenons if you have xenon headlights...only 01 M3s came with standard xenons. BiXenons use the outer projector for both the low and high beam and is activated via a shutter in the projector. The inner beam is only used for flash to pass or DRLs.

This is only true in the US. The OP is from sweden, and bixenons function a little differently over there. With the high beams locked on, both the bixenon shutters and the inner halogens turn on - it's quite bright. With the flash to pass, only the inner halogens come on. Still pretty bright, but not nearly as bright as the locked on beams. You can hear the shutter click on and off when you lock the high beams on (it's quite loud actually).

With normal xenons, flash to pass and locked on high beams are the same.
