I'm with you on the cup holders for sure - I didn't even use them on either of my E60's.

Word has it the dealers can now program your car to remember the last setting (on or off) you selected for the auto-start/stop. I disliked it so much I almost got rid of the car.

If you look up eSys, and learn to use it - you can code that feature yourself.

I'm thinking of the flimsy piece of spring loaded plastic that passed for a cup holder in my E39, and my investment in a $75 TEC aftermarket cup holder for the ashtray! Of course Americans spend a lot more on coffee now than when the E39 was designed.
