Hi all,

Have replaced a faulty rear parking sensor (not clicking) but now all the rear sensors do not work.

The sensors are all clicking now but not registering any distances noise warnings in cab.

The parking sensor switch on the dash is constsntly blinking. The fronts all work fine so I suspect the rear PDC unit or wiring.

Someone sugested checking the PDC units in the boot / trunk.

Can you please advise where the rear PDC is located ???

Have had the boot stripped out down to the battery box and the battery box cover removed.

Any help or a photo would be greatly appreciated !

Thanks in advance.

Hi again,

have had a good dig arround all seems secure will have to go back to dealer and loose my shirt.

Is the drawing from a repair manual ?? have been looking to buy one but can't source one.

I live just across the water in Scotland can you advise if there is a UK manual you can get for the X5 and from where!

Thanks a lot

Hi -You really need to have the codes read in order to find out what is causing the fault...and even then...it may not show up yet.

My front PDC sensors are not working but the rear do - read the codes...nothing

Left it a couple of weeks, and eventually I get a front left sensor error.

Its a tricky one for you because if you bring it to the dealer and ask them to read them, you are probably going to get every code that existed since the vehicle was produced as it would seems a lot of dealers don't bother clearing codes.

So you need to have them cleared....drive about-reverse-park up to a wall etc and then have them read again.

The reality is that you need the codes read one way or another, either by a dealer, or buy a diagnostic kit for yourself.

There is no UK X manual....only a US Bentley manual from what I know.

This will only cover the V8.
