Erratic performance

We replaced the clutch on a 03 M5 and then started the car ok for the first 5 minutes and then it started running rough. The check engine light came on and when we checked the codes there were misfires on Cyl #ís 5, 7, and 8 and faulty O2 sensors on bank 1 before and after the Cat. Cleared the code and immediately all came back and some times with misfire on Cyl #'s 1, 2, 3, and 4. At one point there were codes, 144 and 145, I think MAF sensor and replaced the MAF sensor. Worked good for about 10 minutes and went back to the same condition. We checked plugs and all look good. I don't know whether we pinched any wire or not, which we didn't find any. Has anybody ever experienced something like this? Thanks

Sounds like at least one new O2 sensor and both MAF's.

Bimmerzone sells OEM Bosch MAF dropin's for a really great price.

If you can't get close to 140liter/hour in your secret menu, your MAF is shot.

If after replacing them you still can't get close, you have to start replacing the cam shaft sensor, the crank position sensor, and the O2 sensor.

Many people as a rule replace the MAF, O2 sensor, crank and cam sensors as soon as they buy the car. The S62 is known for these issues.
