Yep. It's an integrated unit, so you need to replace the entire drive shaft. Stupid design...

Sure, it's definitely possible, but there are a number of other things down there which can cause the same symptoms. You really need to have somebody who knows what to look for get under the car and do an inspection.

Yea...me and my dad are going to check this weekend....im thinking it might be uneven torque on the bolts that attach to the diff and driveshaft because never had problem before diff swap...no noises or poor running from diff so pretty sure its not the diff...my dad is a mechanic but just been too damn cold here to look....

So my dad and I checked every thing under the car and everything looked good under car...diff..bushings..mounts...driveshaft..axels.. ..so we took it to my dads friend who works on 4x4s..performance cars diffs and driveshafts looked at it and drove it....he said it sounds more like a roar from my tires and everything looks good...said some treads will do that...its prolly been doing this the whole time and i was just being very observant and paranoid after swapping diffs....because there is no noise from rearend whine or anything and zero play in driveshaft

So finally after a month of setting I got around to removing the diff from the car....the nut was slightly loose so i tightened it up and drove her....no more noise/vibration! super happy that the diff is ok!bc I was soooo afraid that I wasted $400 bucks on it!
