Odd Question
I was browsing Ebaymotors and Autotrader like usual and a thought hit me as i was scrolling through the pages of the 7-series, Would a last year model (2001 e38) be more reliable then a first year e65 (2002). Sorry if this is odd but logic tells me that all the kinks would be worked out of a model like a 2001 e38 but the 2002 e65 would be more irritable?
What do you guys think? Oh i happen to like the look of both personally.

Very much so, the 2002 7er had alot of problems. Take a look at the E65/66 sub forum and search "2002 problems" - you should find alot of info.

My '01 has been very reliable as far as the engine and trans goes. Things like my navigation computer, window regulators ( all four ), door lock actuators, and steering angle piece have gone out. Nothing too major, just the parts that are used constantly.
The previous owner had replaced the water pump some time before I bought it. Probably between 90000-100000 miles. Despite all the short comings of those parts, I still love te car and wouldn't want to get rid if it.
