All weather floor mats
Just bought a 2007 and want to get some quality all weather floor mats. Does anyone know the price of the BMW ones or should I go to weathertech?

I like the Weathertechs although the outside edge of the front ones is not quite flush...not sure why. Someone said to heat them up a bit and mold them better.
The Weathertechs pop in and out easily and are easy to wash out if they get muddy. You still get some grime going behind them due to where the pedal is located. |

I got the BMW A/W mats for the front when I bought my 2004... (in 2004).
Still using them in my 2008 and they are pretty much like new - bit of wear where my heel is in front of the accelerator. Fit is perfect. |

Are these the BMW ones or WT? It seems like they both from what everyone is saying. I guess I need to find out how much the dealer will charge me. Which means I'll probably be getting the WT ones.

I have the WT because I like them. I use them in all my cars and trucks.

I've been using WTs in all of our cars and trucks since 1990. I've probably bought a dozen sets. Work fine. The set I have in my M5 finally wore a hole thru where my right heel rests, but that took 8 years/100k miles and I replaced it with another WT.

Weathertech makes the standard OEM BMW mats. I have the front mats and the trunk mat.
Now--I don't believe Weathertech makes the form fitted mats for BMW OEM. I got my mats from Tischer; cheaper than Weathertech. |

I was pondering this question back around last October: WeatherTech or BMW All-Weather...?
Ultimately, I decided on the BMW All-Weather; the "Digital Fit" WeatherTech mats ostensibly look like they'd provide better coverage, but the cost with shipping was more than the cost (including sales tax) of four of the BMW All-Weather mats at the local BMW dealer in Lexington, KY. Since I'm not a particularly sloppy person (I'm pretty religious about knocking most of the slush/water/dirt/mud off my shoes before climbing into any of my vehicles), these seemed to suit me fine. And I've been happy with them.

Well I just ordered the BMW ones. They were half the price of the weathertech ones. I'll keep everyone interested informed of my opinion of them once they come in. Thanks for all the replies.

Bad weather somewhere is delaying my floormats. It's nice out here on the west coast. Hurry up and clear the snow so I can get my floor mats!

My floor mats have arrived and look great. Now I have a question concerning the Velcro pads on the floor. It appears that I am missing a clip or something that hooks to the Velcro and then clips to the mats. I'm not really that concerned that the mats will slide around because they fit perfectly. Just curious I guess.

Pretty sure each of my OEM BMW rubber mats have one or more hooks that come up from the floor and hook through the mat. Not sure about those in the foot wells of the passenger seats. If it wasn't so damn cold out right now (-4) and if we didn't have the 3 or 4 inches of snow, I'd go work on taking a pic for you. Come to think of it, I think I've taken pics before and posted them here when a similar question came up. I'll first look in "My Pictures" on my hard drive, and then do a simple search.

Yes the OEM ones come with velcro disks with a hook on one side that hooks onto the front mats. None on the rear mats.

I use OEM for front and rear mats and WeatherTech for the cargo area.

Vern, I guess that's a good option. I checked around on some other forums and didn't really get any good answers on how to get these magical clips.

I did the same thing for my 05. I bought my mats on Ebay (like new for a decent price) from someone turning in their lease.
All fit perfectly except for the drivers side (of course the one used most). It seemed slightly longer than the depression it is supposed to fit in. Not sure if there were some slight changes to the floor design. I ended up buying velcro and that has held it down. The passenger side is a perfect fit. |

To remove the Velcro pads, you just need to use a coin in the indented slot, give a quarter turn, and they should lift out; install the anchor hook by reversing the procedure (no coin necessary; just twist it into the receptacle by gripping the hook itself). Oh, and obviously, ensure that the hook bends toward the rear of the vehicle after it's been installed.
