Hell i was just thinking the same but with mk3 jetta's...theres a ton in my area for <$1,000 add $300 Racelands and sell for $2,000 sad thing is i think it'd work

Oh it definitely would work. When a trend gets popular you get lots of people that want the look but don't wanna do the work.

I was thinking Jake and I could scoop up a cheap ass E36 with a clean body but preferably some minor mechanical issues and covered in filth. (Not that hard to find in DC) We can fix it, clean it up, order some style 5 reps, 205 tires, and racelands, slam the fock out of it. Wet sand, polish and wax it and sell it for $5500.

I'm only half kidding. The only issue is we already have a full house in our little stable and have zero room for another project, not to mention the time thing.

his dad is on a business trip in buffalo ny atm so he needs to wait for him to come back.


I think I'm going to raise the price on him though since i redid the duct tape roof. and i reinstalled/cleaned the whole interior/trunk/engine bay.
worst he can do is say no. but idk i won't be disappointed.

Idk if I'm personally ready to get rid of her.

You're joking about raising the price, right? We all know it's already way too high. I wouldn't take any chance to piss him off. Just make it look like you did him a service by cleaning it.

I get the personal connection to the car. But to change your mind now wouldn't make sense. Too good of a deal on your part.

to me though the car is worth more.

Im having no issues with it and the whole "nice car" every where i go is just awesome.


the longer i use this car the better my next car will be.

If he dosnt give me 4k then I'm going to tell him i can't sell it. if it doesn't sell ill still be happy. if it does sell ill still be happy.

This. Not at lot of integrity involved in this situation, IMO. Stuff is worth what people will pay, but you're already ripping him off at $3500. Raising the price on him for no reason when you don't have a competing bidder is dishonest. And you are admittedly lying to his face....
