2011 X5 Good Interior/Exterior Combo

I'm new to this BMW playing field and in need of your opinions for exterior interior combinations. I just recently ordered a 2011 X5 35i Sports Activity, I have about a month before they start the build and what I have right now is Black Sapphire Metallic with Black Neveda Leather and brushed alluminum trim. I'm pretty much decided on the Black Sapphire or the Jet Black exterior but not so one the black interior. I love the two tone look that the Oyster and the Cinnamon Brown has to offer.

What are your opinions?

I'm a BIG fan of the Cinnamon Brown. I paired it with Deep Sea Blue and love it. It would look fantastic with the black exterior.

I think that the Oyster/Black combination looks great, but with a 21 month old and a 14 year old, it didn't seem practical. I've had my Cinnamon/Black X5 for a couple of months now and despite hauling the boys and their stuff, and a 1000+ mile round trip in nasty snowy conditions, the interior looks great.

I'm not so sure about the interior trim, but Bamboo goes very nicely with Cinnamon. There is already quite a bit of aluminum trim in the X5, and the contrast with a darker wood is nice.

Blk on blk is too dead looking. I have Sapphire & Oyster, looks amazing, but it does need more work than lets say, cinna.

My wife started out wanting black but fell in love with the Platinum Gray as soon as she saw it in person...paired it with Oyster and it looks awesome!

I agree, this would look excellent. Surely pics are available somewhere.

I have PG with black, that's just what it was on the dealer lot. One thing to watch out for besides the obvious overall cleaning with Oyster is the 'blue jean' effect. The more expensive the jeans, the greater the stain is what I hear.

For paint, I've always been partial to white or silver cars ... don't have to clean them as much, better visibility for accident avoidance, more forgiving of nicks and scratches, and in general hold resale value well (color is not 'faddy' and is always popular).

I have sapphire/oyster and it's a great look! Grandsons will do a "number" on the oyster but I love 'em anyway.

A friend's Al trim was easily dented. He regrets the selection.

Mine is Black Sapphire and Oyster. No kids here, so interior still looks great after six months in our garage.

Black and black is a lot of black.

Agreed.

This is my 2nd BMW in that color combo (first was AW/saddle, but saddle wasn't available for the 2011 X5's )

I think it's gorgeous also. I was torn between cinnamon and black. oyster/black is good. I had the silverstone/black in my M6 and the seats held up well. Black won out for me because of the vent seats. I hope they offer more choice next generation with the vent seats. With kids, it really doesn't matter, the leather cleans up pretty good! My 5 yo nephew has also christened my seat backs with his shoes!

fx-do you have cinnamon???

I'm a little biased but any black and Cinnamon is hotness.

Yes! My FX35 was black with brick interior, which is close to cinnamon. I actually prefer the cinnamon much more though. You cant beat the two tone interior with cinnamon, and its nice to have all of the high traffic areas in black as I imagine that will wear better. The only thing I don't love about it is the roof liner. I thought it would be black, but I guess I needed to upgrade to the sports package to get that in black. Oh well.....will have to take pics this weekend and post them for you!

Silver with oyster. Great combo. The silver has been great this winter, all the salt and such does not show up like they do on black. The oyster has been easy to keep clean so far.

If you're set with black shapphire exterior, I recommend you check out cinnamon brown interior. I saw this combo the other day on the street and it looks stunning! If I were to do it again, I'd probably go with that combo.

I really appreciate all the input. Y'all made it whole lot easier for me. Looks like I'm going with:

Black Sapphire
Cinnamon Brown
Dark Bamboo
