2011 x5 Premium vs Sport

I read the standard specs and didn't see any great difference that causes such a difference in price.

20inch wheels
anthracite headliner
increased speed limiter (I won't get close to either one)
shadowline trim
body color door and tailgate handles
sport seats and steering wheel

Is this worth the $2,500 difference? Did I miss something importatn?

Thanks,
Dave

you are missing the Sport/M Sport Package under package options if you choose the premium...

"20inch wheels"

This alone will cost you $4000+ at the dealership.

Different ride, more firm. The 20s are hot but I a lot of people have posted they're not great in weather, so if you live where there is snow think about it....

it depends on how your right foot will react... i have 20's performance and live here in connecticut but they are manageable. the ride is awesome too with the RFT's

I made that mistake. please dont make the same mistake and if 2500 difference is not really hurt you, do yourself a favor and get it. I did not get mine and i still after 9 months still regret it.
Sports Pack makes a totally different X5. It is worth every pennie.
The only drawback is the expensive tire cost.

The 20" wheels are the main attraction under this pkg. If you don't appreciate the wider stance and more aggressive looks of the wheels, perhaps the sport isn't for you. I have the sport and personally think the wider wheels, sport seats and steering wheel are fantastic and differentiate from all the other X5's you see on the street.

+1. $2,500 is a bargain. And don't forget the sport steering wheel - it is the one thing in the car you are contstantly in contact with.

Wow......That sucks. I just got the 50i (non sport), but after listening to you guys, maybe I should have looked into a sport.

These comments have been about the 35i, which is a bit different. The 35i has three different trim levels. Base, Premium, Sport Activity, and then a M-Sport package available only the Sport Activity.

The 50i only has one trim level, with Sport-Activity and M-Sport available as option packages.

...and to further confuse things, the Sport-Activity package on the 50i is different from the Sport-Activity trim level on the 35i, and the M-Sport package on the 50i is different than the M-sport package on the 35i.

09 3.0 is nothing compared to the 11 3.0, night and day.
now since you started it, the 5.0 is totally gay compared to the real M.

I didn't get the sport package on the 35d. the only thing that interested me was the sports steering wheel and I don't think its worth 2,000 to get it.

I am wondering for those that don't have the sport package but have the winter package. How is the steering wheel? its suppose to be heated.

The heated wheel on the winter package is great. I thought I'd never use it but I seem to use it quite a bit in the winter.

thanks guys. One more question for those that have the heated wheel but not the sports package. does the wheel look good? Now the sport package wheel I loved, nice and thick and leather. so for those that have it what does the "regular" wheel look like.
