Low miles and looks to be untarnished by child or pimp. Possibly grandma's church chariot on the weekends? This car was $40k new, let it have some dignity.

ok Padre. I'll go for $2k but no higher as its an automatic. I'm pretty sure that you'll spot problems once you see the car. The telling absence of words like "new radiator, fp, hoses, wp, thermostat, tranny fluid, filters, tyres, belts, suspension bushings, wipers, mounts"......I'd get around $500 min ready for a thorough sprucing up, assuming I'm doing everything myself.

Hey that reminds me, I've got a thread coming in that vein. Its a work in progress, be hopefully ready by later today....

I really dig the automatics. Easy to service, perform well, drive great and replacements are easily found. A manual is not an idolized feature, nor is an auto a deal breaker.

I have found that in NYC the value of the e34 is grossly overstated as NYC, especially Queens is an E34 heaven. You drive around Queens NY for an hour and you will see between five to ten of them on the road any given day.

I am sure that in NY, especially as clean as the car is, he will get at least 4K, But a salvage title... 2K in my book, And that would be only to use the parts off it for another with a clean title and then I would scrap the remains LOL...

Speaking of value overestamatio... A friend of mine thinks his 92 CamLex is worth about 8 grand because it has Lexus emblems on it.

It's amazing how many of these E34s on Craigslist are very high mileage yet they all still run amazing. What is it about the E34 that makes it last so long compared to some other BMW models>

What interests me is what kind of block the 530s and 540s (M60 engines) have- Nikasil or Alusil. My nikasil is still kicking it after 172K miles (knock on wood).

But there are plenty e34s out there pushing 150K, and sellers are still getting $3k+ for them!!

Oh i agree, way to much but it is mint looking. mine had all receipts from day 1 and i only payed $3000.00 But none the less that red one is a beauty!!

23K original miles . After 15 years, I would be very hesitant to drive it 10 minutes down the road. All the rubber parts might disintegrate before your eyes
