I have to admit to being surprised by my results. I even re-reviewed my answers.

(BTW, is it just me, or are the housing price ranges listed ridiculous. The top category ($370K+) gets you an old townhouse around here. You can't get a falling down shack for $69K. But let's not start THAT thread again.)

I also have no idea why I got EVERY major city in Louisiana.

Here's my list:

New Orleans, Louisiana
Population: 1,340,000 | Average Home Price: $148,000 | Precipitation: 57" | Snow: 0"

Most of those places would not be the place to live as an "out" gay man! Way too close to the Bible Belt.

Almost any major city has a sizable gay community, including the south.

Rember, one of the factors was a gay lifestyle question....

You can be gay anywhere. I agree, MD would be more accepting than most places in NC.

And, while straight, I actually indicated that having a gay community was of high importance.

Seflishly, I know that the gay neighborhoods always have great little restaurants.

For grins, do you have a link to a decent New Orleans area real estate listings source? I don't know enough about the area to pick zip codes at Realtor.com. Or you could just tell me the better zip codes.

As I didn't expect New Orleans on my list, I really am curious as to what you can get for what housing-wise.

Oh, and have I b1tched lately about how much I hate snow?

I guess you didn't list safety as much of a priority
