Should I or Shouldn't I - 1990 750iL ?

Local add shows 90 BMW 750iL, 102k, says 'runs great' - $5,000 obo

What should I look out for on visual/verbal inspection?

I have an '01 x5 and have done some mechanical repairs so I would be DIY.

Any suggestions would be helpful.

that is a little bit overpriced. You should be in the $3000 - $3500 range

Too late.. I already bought it. It has had great service mostly by the Stealer and some by the owner, but thorough documentation as its owner was an engineer designing v12s. I'm sure as soon as something goes ill have wished it was an escort, but until then ill just burn em.
Also, what year do you have? I might need a parts car if its cheap enough.
