Post Wanted - 2003 Z4 Hardtop

I am in search of a removable hardtop for my '03 Z4. Color doesn't matter so long as it is functional. Drop me a line if you have one available. Thanks!

I have a Jet Black 668 one (all covers, wrench, seals, etc are present and included) that I'd let go for $2500. Few light scratchs on passenger side. Price includes a new-in-bag hardtop cover/storage bag and a hardtop stand for storage. Greater Cleveland Ohio area, PM if interested anyone (will not ship).

By chance how much does it cost to switch from a soft top to a hard top? Parts and labor.

Parts are around $200 for the lefr and right prep kits. My local dealer wanted $500 for kit plus install. I just bought the kit and spent just over an hour installing. There are some good DIYs on here.

jmanscotch, As far as I can tell, your hard top should fit on my '03 model. I don't think there is any difference between your '04 model and my '03 model. How much time does it take to remove the soft top and install the hard top?

Correct, it'd fit. To clarify, my Z4 is an 03 too.

You don't actually remove the soft top, just leave it in the down position rather. Some people either get the car coded at the dealer (likely $150 range) to know when the hardtop is on and thus the soft top won't try to raise, damaging it, or the cheap/easy solution (outside of not pressing buttons you shouldn't) of simply pulling the soft top fuse while the hardtop is on.

Once the top is down, the hardtop goes on in less than a few minutes. The hardtop prep kit takes about an hour and a half.

It's a two person job to lift the hardtop on the car, once it's in place just lock the locks and your ready to go, takes about 5-7 minutes max.

Z4 Hardtop

I shouldn't have any problem with the soft top wanting to go up since I have a manual top! I am very interested in your hard top. Do you have a preferred phone number I can contact you on?
