Radio Question

When I drive, occasionally the radio kicks in - meaning, the sound is GREAT, 9/10 times though the sound isn't.

I took it to two places that do sound systems, both said that it was fine to them, but I know it's not! It sounds like there is something missing, I just don't know what.

The music sounds kind of flat to me, but when driving it after a while whatever it is kicks in and the sound gets significantly better. Any ideas? Thanks

How's your battery? Old? Sounds like after it's charged you then get full power to the amp.. Idk I'm just tossing ideas out. Besides that I don't know what else would kick in after driving for a while.

Your description sounds like an issue I had in my car.

I would get in and it would sound liek there was no real punch to the mid/bass, however there was no crackle and sounds was still being produced.

I diagnosed it (after a crackle did manifest itself) as the drivers side speaker had stopped working properly, but I believe the tweeter was still working, and the left side had decreased volume as well, but after half an hour or so it would usually be okay.

This ended up being the AMP dying inside my ASK, replaced my ASK with a facelift model, no more issue.

Its worth noting that my ASK did log an error code for amp malfunction by the time I had it replaced too.
