Question Extended warranties?

I'm taking delivery of a 535i next week. Any thoughts on extended warranties/maintenance upgrade? Don't want to throw away money, but don't want to be cheap either. HELP!

The Maintenance coverage will depend on how many miles you drive and if you plan on getting your car serviced at the dealer. Usually if you drive over 15,000 a year, this is a plan that will pay off for you. The Warranty is something to get if you want peace of mind so you don't have to worry about repair costs later. They are great performance cars, but can sometimes have meachanical and electrical issues. You already will have both coverages for 4 years or 50,000 miles so make sure you plan on keeping the car beyond that if you are planning on extending coverage. You always have the option of extending as long as you are still under the original coverage, so you have some time to decide, you don't have to do it right now. Also, if you do decide to extend out coverage do your homework regarding the price, it can vary from dealer to dealer. Hope this helps.
