03 745li Wiper malfunction

I was driving in the rain today and all of a sudden my wipers began to twitch and spasm all over the windshield and all kind of warning lites came on...eventually they went off..but now the wipers are stuck in the up position and will not move...i get a faulty wiper message when i turn on the car?????any ideas????

Has anyone been able to provide any suggestions to this probelm, is it relay related?

back to my question...where are these relays located?

you sure it isn't a battery issue? my car did exactly this when the battery was going bad...

I pulled the wipe fuse out, but I think it will need a new battery or maybe a good charge as the car isn't being used a lot, maybe 10k or less a day with the A/C being used.

Check and tighten the bolts on the wiped arms. If still persist change out fluid resdevour and attached pumps and sensor.

I left it overnight and the next day it was ok, motor and washer fluid pump worked, however I pulled the fuse out located in the glove compartment for now and will check the pumps and sensors today.
