Engine Clean and Engine Dressing

I was wondering if it's safe to wash my F10 engine with product like Meguiar's Engine Clean or even just spray it with water?... Are the car's electrical systems already well covered under the hood in the F10?

Thanks

I suck out all the dust with a shop vac first. Then I'd use a mild degreaser. Meguiars just came out with a new one. I wouldn't get the engine compartment soaking wet though, and certainly wouldn't put a hose to it. I would spray the cleaner on a rag and go over the engine and the cover. There's not much to do since the car is so new.
