Need help with After market Radio, would like ti keep factory non-dsp amp

So I decided to buy the Eonon GA5166 unit to replace my factory radio in my 2003 X5 e53 3.0i Its not the DSP radio and amp, but Eonon support seems to thinks so. The cable that came with the unit is turning the Radio on. The steering wheel controls work. Wifi, Internet, Radio, DVD. The problem is, the unit is sending the audio back to the BMW factory amp. I do not believe the amp is turning on, so I cannot hear audio. I am thinking about just replacing the factory amp, but would prefer to check and see if this unit will work with my amp. If not, then Iíll buy an amp that will mount directly into the factory amp rail location?
