Advice needed on oil ??

Hello fellow members. - I am new to this so please be nice LOL.
I have been "given" some oil from a friend and wanted to know if it can be used in my X5 3.0 Diesel Sport (2005)
The oil is from Pennine Lubricants - Ultrasyn synthetic blend - 5W/30
Comments would be appreciated.

What does it say in your owners manual? The diesels weren't imported to No America...so that model isn't familiar to most of the members here. You may have to wait until a member from a market that received the diesels chimes in....or again, check your owners manual under Engine Oil Viscosity...and like the manuals for the USA...hopefully there's contact info or a website that can provide more information.

(the info below is from my 2006 X5 4.4 owners manual w/petrol engine)
