The wife and I are picking up a 2.8 at the factory next week. She is really excited about the factory delivery with the test drive at the Performance Center. We are trading in our '05 X3. I also drove the X5 35D, my choice, but it was hard to justify the price difference and my wife preferred the maneuverability of the X3. This will be her vehicle.

Yea personally I would have got the 35i if I wanted an X3 but this is for my mother, not the best driver so this slower engine is better.
So far we're averaging ~21mpg city (keep in mind, this is the break in period so driving pretty easy, well at least I told her to)

X5d would be sweet! tune it too!
I'll get a pic of all the cars together sometime soon so you can see some size comparisons
