avoid trans fail x5 4.4

some good advice if you want to avoid a costly trans failure on your 4.4 x5, to begin with you must not take it for granted when bmw say that the transmission fluid is for lifetime, when people hear that they assume that it is for lifetime then disregard it and never chech its level, when the levels of fluid drop in the trans over time the gearbox slips and lurches and then if fluid level is never attended to the gearbox will get worse and worse then just pack nin, so just because bmw dont have a dipstick to check the trans fluid level doesnt mean you cant do your own checks, it could save you a lot of money for just a simple bit of maintainance,
