When do they open? I.E. while your driving/braking/idling/using your blinker? Could you make them open, or is it just totally random no matter what? It could be bad switches, or a short. Get a wiring diagram and see if theres any relays that could be bad. Wiring = no fun in these. Good luck though

You're probably pushing a button on your key while it's in your pocket. If you hold down the lock button, all the windows will open.

There is a feature to open all windows and the sunroof by holding down the unlock button for several seconds. Since you took the battery out of the remote something else must be actuating that circuit. Normally I would recommend visiting a dealer only as a last resort but this might be worth letting them take a look at it. Might be worth at least a call to see what kind of diagnostic fee they would charge. Good luck

NO! Never go to the stealer! I work in an independent auto-electrical shop, and we've fixed problems even the manufacturer couldnt solve. I'm sure theres one around by you; look there first. Alot cheaper than the $tealer, with same-as or better results

Did the last owner die in the car?

i'd start by giving all the lock barrels a spray with some wd-40 (or similar) to make sure they aren't sticking inside somehow. Also, try pulling each of the switches out one by one for a few days each and see if you can make it stop.
