Picking up another E36 M3

I owned a 96 Black on Black E36 M3 and loved it. I traded it in back in 2006 for an 01.5 Audi S4. As much as I loved the Audi I have always missed the E36.

I recently decided to sell my VW Jetta Wagon daily driver and started to shop for an E36 M3. I came across a guy locally selling a 99 Silver on Dove Grey M3 convertible. Long story short, I am buying it on Monday the Feb 28th and I can't wait.

It has a Dinan Supercharger, Dinan exhaust, Dinan ECU software, Dinan Transmission software and Dinan suspension. To me the only flaw the car has is that it is an automatic but because I will be driving here in DC in traffic I thought about it and got over that.

The car currently has just over 71K, a new top, and fairly new tires. I will be the 3rd owner and I will receive all the paperwork covering the complete history on the car.

I will post pictures later but from the outside she looks stock.

My E60 M5 is also silver so these two will look great together in the garage

Saw that M3 in the autotrader for months. Good luck with the purchase!

Yeah, it was funny when I asked the owner if there were any other serious buyers interested in the car. His response was that he had several calls and emails but since October I was the only person who actually came out to look at the car. Lucky for him I did I guess.

I am happy about the purchase and plan to enjoy this car even more than my previous E36. I will be sure to get pictures up once I have a chance to go through the car.

I picked up the car last night but it was raining so these are the only pictures I could take.
I will get more soon once the weather gets better and I have a chance to really clean up the car.

Looks nice, but I'd be careful with the autotragic transmission. They don't like the stock power levels of the M3 to start with, and forced induction only makes it worse.

Then again, a 5 or 6 speed swap could be in the cards...

Down the road I am sure I will do a swap but the tranny feels good now. It does have the Dinan software on it for better shifting and they make a specific supercharger kit for the auto cars which makes me assume it should be safe.

The only thing specific about the SC kit is the auto tranny software. The hardware is identicle. Those trannys just don't seem to last more than 100K miles.
