2012 X5 50 carbon black w cinnamon
M sport
Premium
Tech
Cold weather
3rd row

29,089 mi. It is CPO and orig MSRP of 78k listed for 55k. This sounds like an ok price if PPI works out. Considering ards formula for 50 cents per mile off MSRP, it should be listed around 60k. What do you guys think?

Forgot about that 'formula', but that was off of 'purchase price', which should be invoice minus all possibe incentives when that car was new+500 profit (more or less)

Plus 4-5k per year off of the current year. As current is 2014, that would be 8-10k off...roughly

So 45k-50k

The lease end residual is what 62% of 78? 48k. That is what owners would pay- dealers pay less.

That is the 'value'...what you'll pay at retail will be higher.

So it seems about 5K overpriced, you think? It has every option I could want and most importantly, the 3rd row seat that my wife so desperately desires!

If you don't mind the price difference then go for it.

It will be hard to find a 3rd row with options that you like.

Given the 50i's notoriously poor resale value, I think you could do better. If you can locate a leftover, I have a feeling that you could spend about that much and get a brand new E70.

3rd row is definitely difficult to find!
Quite rare in the E70 unless fully loaded custom ordered...

It's going to be tough. There's basically no new E70s left in Mass.

I really like my x5d but if you really need a 3rd row seat the x5 is the wrong choice.

It works well for the kids at this time, gator. Believe me, I could do without the 3rd row. It comes in handy a few times a year.

Very few, Auto. Maybe it's just not the time. Hopefully, the money will remain in my pocket until I find something else

On the same topic, what would be reasonable offer for x35i premium for MSRP of 61800?

When I started looking T X5S they wanted $52K FOR A $62K CAR, AND THAT WAS sUMMER 2013.
But it was DEMO/ EXECUTIVE LOANER (whatever that means) with 13k miles. Since it was never titled all factory incentives still applied, not sure if they were already applied. And I didn't even haggle, since I was not ready to buy yet.

Anyway, there is a ballpark.

These next seven days are THE time to get the best deal on the E70's, since it is month end, year end, and model end. The worst that could happen is they say no to an offer. I'm heading out tomorrow to see if i can find something

According to this, there's a few left in a 200 mile radius of Brookline. Good luck!

Is 52500 reasonable offer on 61800 MSRP? It's premium x35i.

Can you post up the options list and everything?

Its hard to say, without knowing the exact invoice and the incentives that you may qualify for.

sure, its x35i premium with conv. pkg, head up display and space saver.
Invoice on this as per carprices.com is 56875

They came back with 55555 with all the build out credit, incentive etc. I don't qualify for loyalty discount.

Is thr any other incentives going on? I'm shooting for 52.5.

Thank you

Looks like Paul Miller has two diesels when I plug in 3rd row. Will have to check bmwvin.com to make sure. That would be a long way to drive for nothing
Or I could just just do it the old fashioned way and call them

Good luck. Paul Miller is a good dealer, I bought a couple of Audi's from them.

btw- good for you for asking "is this a good deal" BEFORE doing the deal, it's not the norm around here lol

They are not budging from 55,555.

Do they deduct holiday credit/build out incentives from MSRP? or after your negotiated price?

Haha. No kidding. They should be able to have a runner send it my way if need be, right? I could go to my local dealer and do the deal and someone should be able to drive it up my way for a nominal fee?

You can probably do the entire thing over the phone with Paul Miller and just have it shipped. Horeseless Carriage is closeby in Clifton NJ, or maybe the dealer can get it shipped up for cheap. I wouldn't involve your local dealer, just my .02
