Picked Up Yesterday!

I'll post my driving impressions later. But here are some pictures:

Very nice!!

Nice ride. It is me or are the lights in the rear fender and the hatch somewhat misaligned. It may be the angle on the picture but it seems slightly off somehow. Nice view of the rain forest too!

Congrats! Did u try the navigatiom yet? I like how inst cluster shows next turns & etc, almost like hud from my x5

I didn't order mine with Nav. Navigation is for girls.:P

I only ordered the Sport Package and Dynamic Handling Package.

Ok 67K question. Does the dhp make a serious difference in handling when dialed down to the more aggressive mode?

The X3 is for girls and so is nav but yet, it is missing?

I was looking at the left rear fender/hatch light complex. It just appears there is a misalignment with the lights on the fender and the hatch -- the style lines don't appear to line up. Perhaps it is just the photo angle and the light. Nice car, and lovely area. Enjoy the ride!

Glad to see that your X3 finally arrived! Nice pics, it looks very sharp in white.

I'd say it's pretty much night and day. It's a shame that more dealerships don't have test cars with DHP in their inventory. In my opinion, an X3 without Sport and Dynamic Handling packages is pretty much a Q5. But when you add both options, holy $hit. I'm going to wait until I've driven it around all week before doing a real write up. But for now I'll just say that I'm pretty damn happy.

Maybe that's why my wife loves driving x3 and i prefer driving x5.

I wonder though, why x3's dynamic package is only $1400 when x5's dynamic suspension is over $3000 option. Perhaps the technology has matured enough to be cheap?

I actually went with a non local dealership. Nothing against the two local players, but they weren't flexing on price. I'll still go to Kuni for service though.

We ordered our X3 through Kuni about a month ago using Costco pricing and they were really, really great to deal with. Absolutely the easiest way to buy a car -- but, admittedly, we might have gotten a better deal elsewhere. I'm just service-sensitive rather than price-sensitive -- I'll take dealing with friendly, knowledgeable and competent folks any day over saving a few bucks.

Yup it felt like a really fast Q5. Great off the line but way too much body roll going in or off a highway ramp.

I think they will lose a lot of BMW drivers if they don't get with it and supply them to dealers. It has given me enough of an excuse to hold off on one til I can drive one that makes me feel like I am driving a BMW.

Probably has a lot to do with the demand. They don't seem to be having any trouble filling orders right now. In a few months there should be more models available for test driving.
