BMW Wheel Pricing

The more I read the posts in this awesome forum the more concerned I am about the RFT's that come standard on new 550i xDrives. I recently ordered the M Sport package on my car which should arrive at dealer by end of month. Had been thinking about a performance staggered BMW wheel and RFT set up for non-winter driving and then using wheels that come with car for non-RFT snows plus buying one extra wheel/tire for spare given the stories about lack of RFT replacements.

Is there a listing on web that shows BMW factory wheel pricing for the 19" 351M's and are these only available through dealer? I have read where others have bought extra tire as spare. Could not afford to have a week or two downtime due to wait on replacement tire. I'm assuming that the issue is the bad winter/poor condition roads in east which is making problem worse.

Would like to get best of both worlds with performance in summer and snows in winter. Thanks to everyone for their postings. Very helpful.

Given all the problems with the 19 inch rims and low profile tires, I bought a set of 18 inch
350m rims for winter tires for my 550ix. They were $460 each. By moving to 18 inch tires, the tire changes to a 245/45 vs. 245/40 for OEM. The extra sidewall height helps with ride and pot holes. I will put the OEM 351m rims and tires on in mid April or so when all (most) of the potholes are filled. (Both winter tires and summer are nonRFTs.) I spent five years with my e60 550i replacing tires and rims with the 245/40/18 tires on that car from pothole damage....learned my lesson. I wouldn't put winter tires with 40 series tires on the OEM 19 inch rims.
