May have crossed wire on 91 850i

need a picture of distributor 7-12 passener side mayhave crossed a wire when i replaced the cap hard start up and down idle smooths out at mid speed can someone tell me from top to bottom numbers on dist

look on the cap itself, the numbers are molded into the plastic - can't really mess that one up (well maybe you can I guess, otherwise you wouldn't be asking...)

thks for reply but the cap on the right side was an aftermarket with no numbers the one on the left had the riht numbers thks

well, the numbers will be the same as you have on the right side (OEM), just match them up. Of course, #1 = #7; #2 = #8; #3 = #9; #4 = #10; #5 = #11; and #6 = #12.

really not that difficult, remember that the V12 is actually 2 inline 6's hooked together....
