Z3 Intermittent External Door Handle

Sometimes the driver's side door handle on my Z3 doesn't move the linkage enough to open the door and I have to go in the passenger side to open it from the inside. I've seen threads such as this http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/sho...9&postcount=59 describing how to remove the handle, but can anyone advise what's likely to be the problem behind the handle? Cheers, Duncan

Lube the door striker and that will probably fix it.
