Base model tail lights

Hi Everyone,
Just a heads up that the base model 2011 X3 has different lighting on the tail lights. When I opted out of the premium package with xenons I was never told that the tail lights would be different too. Basically the corners light up at night and it looks a lot cheaper than those models with the LEDs right across the lamp. The BMW website says nothing of this and neither did my sales rep. However, if you build the car on the site and click on the premium package you'll notice a slight difference in the picture. While it may be somewhat poseurish of me, I wish I spent the extra $40/month on my lease and got the premium package rather than just the panorama moonroof...the xenons and tail lights look fantastic and would have been worth it!

I think this may be a Canada thing. BMW likes to screw you guys for some reason.

If you can get the Xenon's, DO IT! They are SO much better than the stock lights.

This is so true. My 328 had the base lights and they were pretty bad.

The taillights are indeed different with X3s with and without the bi-xenon headlights.

FYI: Xenons can be ordered independently of any packages in the US. As for Canada, I've said it a million times that BMW CA screwed y'all over.
