E39 (1997 - 2003)
The BMW 5-Series (E39 chassis) was introduced in the United States as a 1997 model year car and lasted until the 2004 when the E60 chassis was released. The United States saw several variations including the 525i, 528i, 530i and 540i. -- View the E39 Wiki

Bmw e39

Hi my bmw has gone into limp mode it started yesterday with a judder now it feels like the engine is juddering and theres no power on pull off and its slow to get to any sort of speed any

Any ideas to the problem will be very helpfull please........

Have someone with a GT-1 or equivalent scanner read the tranny codes. Then have them reset it. It could be minor (triggered by spurious sensor signal) or serious (torque converter). Pull the codes to find out which.
