Sound system question

Are there any issues with having a small (10") sub put in my e60? I'm worried because I know how tempermental these cars can be with electronics. My basic sound system leaves something to be desired on the low notes.

It can be done, but you won't hear much improvement unless you upgrade the amplifier, as that is truly the weak link in the system. You may find good info if you search on my username plus sound system terms to find some of my posts on upgrading the audio in an E60.

A little modified version of the above question ... Would it help to put in a 12 inch, with its own amp, in the trunk? Or the trunk is too sealed?

I thought starting a new thread should be done if you dont find an existing thread ... and also, that people in this thread might have already found a better solution, so I could benefit from their learning..

It works great if you have the ski pass-through and can fold the seat down. If not, the trunk does prevent most of the sub output from reaching the cabin.
