x3 Production Experience

I ordered 2 x3's in mid-January. I was quoted one would be manufactured in the first week of March and the second in midweek of April.

It's now the end of the second week of March and the website shows it went into product on Tuesday but not completed.

What is everyone else's experience?

I found that the production updates were a day or two behind what the web site said. My dealer had access to more accurate information.

The updates aren't very up to date. If you call the 800 number and talk to someone, you might get a more realistic update. MY car was still listed as "en route" three days after I picked it up from the dealership.

You better hope they finish it before they deliver it to you.

My X 3 took 17 days from the day I ordered to delivery at the dealer. I think it has to do with the dealers allocations. I guess, I got luck and fell into the right slot.

Production Delays

Hi,

I ordered mine mid January as well. First I was told it should go into production 12th of March. It didn't. When I called back the dealer they told me it was slotted now for end of April with delivery sometimes in May.
I cancelled the order and went with a in-stock-model. I had sold my old car in Jan and had to rent a car while waiting and that's getting too expensive.
It's pretty bad that you have to wait up to four months for an ordered car.
