Finally installed my LUX V3 LED Angel Eyes. E70
As the title states - I finally installed my LUX V3 LED Angel Eyes! They look great. Very bright, closest I've seen to OEM BMW LED AEs. 1 Pic attached, I'll try to take more later this week...

Just wondering why this mod? Just to do a more blue ring instead if stock?
I dig how my stock angel eyes look.

Was looking for the LED look, like the new 3 and 5 series. 2012 x5s delivering in April / May will (finally) have these stock.
Not quite the new LED Active Headlights the 6 series will have, but I'll have to make do! |

Did you do the install? If so, what is the degree of difficulty? Looks great.

The difficulty is directly related to hand size, fairly easy if your a child impossible if your a grown man! It is just a pain in the ass due to space of the opening and angle, but not technically difficult.

Roadkillrob is dead on. Its an easy process but I couldn't do it with my hands so I let the pros at Turner Motorsports do it for me.

Looks pretty good, definitely brighter than my set. How many LED's per light?

Looks great! Are they plug in play or did you have to cut anything to install them?

The Lux lights look great....I'm interested in installing them on mine. Wanted to know if you also changed out the fog lights to make them more "white". Also, how did you get the yellow indicator lights to stay off with corona rings staying on...did this require special "coding". Please respond at your convenience.

Waiting for night pictures...
And a few of them, with headlights on, off, etc..

Side amber will always be on when your headlights turn on, only way to delete them is thru coding.

Are these as insanely bright as the OEM LEDs that I have on my X5?

Accordingly to a BMW dealer the new 2012 OEM LED cannot be installed in older X5 models. It is not just a LED bulb but the entire headlight assembly is different. When I asked the parts guy at the dealer he told me I would be better off buying a new X5 than trying to get the new LED in my 2011 model. Installed the LUX V3 LED in less than 10 minutes and could not be happier.
