Finally installed my LUX V3 LED Angel Eyes. E70

Those of you who have LUX, Could you please contribute to the community by posting pictures of LUX from different angles? I have seen Lux Pix, but they are all dead center looking at the headlight directly, I get that kind of look from my GP thunders , if i look directly.

The deal is from other angles, i.e ... From top, side, below, 100 feet away etc.

there is a lot of discussion on this, i just hope to see some real comparison.

By the way , i saw 2012 X5 the other day, they look so bright... I am happy for those that have 2012.. Enjoy your cool looks. Sucks for us 2011 and older.

For the ones that said it is "plug and play" did you get a quote for the lights? Do they sell the bulbs only? I saw a new 2012 X5 on the dealer parking lot and I spent some time looking at the headlights. If you look from far away they look the same as the 2011 but if you look closer and inside the headlights there are some new components (it looks like a small mirror) that are not present in the headlights on my car. BTW, I mentioned the LUX V3 look amazing and they do indeed but at night only. Today for the first time I drove in front of my wife (she drives the X5) in a bright sunny day and looking from my rearview mirror I could barely see the daytime lights were on. On the other hand if you see a 5 series with the new LED daytime on they are excessive bright in my opinion. It would be great to find a balance.

The OEM LEDs are stupid bright. I let a buddy drive the X5 the other day and my street is almost straight, and I can see the glow of the LEDs about (I'm the last house on the street) a quarter of the mile down the road.

After install the LED bulb, will the high beam work the same as before?? Thanks

Yea I have a set of Lux on my 2011, they're nice. But they're nowhere near as bright as the OEM rings. Those are crazy bright, the lux don't even compare.

I'm good with my $15 7500K GP Thunder. Coded car to make angel eyes at full power even when headlights are on. If angel eyes are not coded, they dim as soon as you turn on your headlights.

Not true when you have LED H8 like yours truly, LED is either on or off, none of that dimming and coding b.s.

I have an '08 e70 so I have an H8 bulb NOT a LED. I guess you need to learn how to code and you'll find out.

I do know what I am talking about, my 2011 came with pukey yellow halogen H8, I took them out and put in white LED H8. Do you know what you are talking about?

You do know that they make H8s with LEDs nowadays don't you? And these LED H8s dont dim, always full power, thus no need to code.

The Lux H8 V3 is $245 ?!? What a rip off...

The truth has spoken.

I ordered the LUX kit a couple days ago; hopefully I can get them next week (when the sellers comes back from his honeymoon). My current LED solution I bought really sucks. Yes it was cheap, but I couldn't see them at all in the day (not even straight) which makes them kind of pointless. Then at night, they are uneven, which isn't terrific either.

Anyways I've seen HID angel eye bulbs and they look very bright, but then there is the giant ballast and stuff that needs to be mounted. Yuck! And there is no such thing as LED HID

"White HID LED" is how the item was listed. Its not HID, just high intensity white LED. Below is the link.
They are super bright and I don't see why pay more for an LED kit like this one... For sure it looks better than the stock yellowish bulb!

I know there are H8 LEDS. Even GP Thunder makes them. But I said I am good with my H8 GP Thunder II BULBS. And the reason some don't like the bulbs is because they dim when you turn the headlight on. But since I was able to code it not to dim then the bulbs are working for me.....

That's one of the kits I tried; it wasn't bright enough. When I got them and plugged them in at night, I told myself, "this looks nice and bright." Then sun came out and I couldn't actually tell the DRL were on from an off angle.

So far I've tried two cheap solutions. I'm now willing to try an expensive one to see if it really makes a difference.

If it doesn't, I'll go back to my halogens.
