Sub de-laminating from the surround?

Ok, so I just swapped the 6.5" JL Audio 6w0 from one car to another because it was sitting unused for about 5 years.

So I powered it up, and the second day that I am listening to it, the cone de-laminates from the foam surround. Its a clean break all the way around the cone. Anyone ever seen this before? Any good fixes?

It has had very little use in its life, and I can't buy another one because they are discontinued. Also, I can't fit a different sub in there. The magnets are too big now.

You can have the cones repaired. Or you can try it yourself:

The foam degrades and separates. you can reglue it with some silicone adhesive, but the foam will fall apart and separate again in time.
There are repair kits like this one. if you can get the size to match up.
