New Weekend Toy

If hpowder can talk about his Porsche because he has a 328i, I figure I can post my new (to me) weekend toy. At least it's a BMW.

Got this about a month ago. Since then OZ Ultraleggera wheels, AA Tune, and RPI Intake.

On order: Cosmos Strut Brace and UUC SSK/DSSR

Other minor mods: Wind Blocker; stubby antenna; body color front license plate bracket;Clutch Stop;CDV delete when the SSK is intalled.

P.S. Is there a way to put two pics in the sig? I am apparently not savvy enough to figure it out.

I know, right. As an officer of the court, I must abide by all laws. (Mostly.)

2006 (6/06 Build). The thing about these cars is they are not a DD to most who buy them. So you can get some low mileage ones. This one had 37K. But there are plenty out there that just have 15-25K.

Niiice! I would def have your car, but everyone I passed would think "midlife crisis". Of course they'd be wrong. I'm too old for that.
Be sure to post your SSK experiences, install, comparo, ergonomics, etc. I'm thinking of doing the same.

That's NOT a license plate, but GiaGia seems to be holding some kind of "feather duster" in her signature.....

I'm in the same boat. Now I'm I just a kindly old gentleman.

I certainly will, if and when I ever get the thing. They say it will be at least another month before I get it. They apparently wait until they have a few orders and then produce a batch. They said they had authorized production of a batch but that from authorization to completion would be 4-6 weeks. That was a week ago.

Excellent, so i'm not familiar with the Z family. What engine do you have? (m54? N52?)

N52. 255 hp/220 torque in stock form. The AA tune is supposed to add 15 hp/12 torque. Who knows how much the RPI intake really helps, but they advertise 8-12hp at 70 mph. Not that I go that fast, as that is against the law.

Hey! Awesome, we have the same engine. AA tune is great. I suggest headers if you ever feel the need for more power/raspier exhaust. The 3 stage manifold N52 is an incredible engine. Especially in a Z!

I thought about headers but I think I have used up all my capital with the spouse for now between buying the car and all the mods within a month. That will have to wait for now. Which headers do you recommend?

You'll love it. We used ours for extended trips, including one coast to coast covering 7,500 miles.

Congrats & Enjoy!

OBX, PM me when/if you get interested and I can hook you up with a vendor.

Meanwhile, enjoy the Z!

Thanks. Wow- I'm not sure my back could take 7500 miles in the Z. Plus how did you pack enough in it to be gone that long??
