Mein Auto: 2007 Z4 M Coupe
Proud New Owner of a Z4 M Coupe

Hello All,

My name is Aaron and just recently (Sept 2010) I purchase a '07 Black Z4 M Coupe with 13,500 miles on it. I live around the Seattle area and this is my first BMW, not to mention my first real sports car. I'm slowly introducing myself into the racing/autocrossing scene and would love to race more (if the money keeps coming in).

I am happy to say that I don't regret this purchase. I bought it from a local private seller who had way too many cars on his property and needed to sell the Z4 M quick. I made out with a pretty decent deal. I have yet to personally mod this car but will in the future after the car is paid off.

I hope to learn a lot from everyone on this forum. Thanks

Looks like Chris Miller's "DARTH M" car.
If you plan on going racing then you bought the wrong car. Chris autocrossed the car and it's a great driving school car.
We have a strong contingent of Z4MC owners here in the Puget Sound area. Come down to Griot's Garage in Fife on February 12th and meet a bunch of your fellow Z4M Coupe owners.

As this is your first sports car much less your first BMW I strongly recommend you attend a Driver Skills/Car Control Clinic conducted by either the BMW Club or the Porsche Club

See you on Feb 12th and at the track

That's exactly what Chris said when i was looking at this car. I knew that going in. I wasn't planning on autocrossing too seriously. Maybe if i ever get the $ and time too . I think this is a good car to hit the tracks 3-4 times a year just to let it loose. I believe that was the other reason Chris sold the car. He wanted something more competitive on the tracks. The pictures are from him too

The Z3M Coupe belongs to Michelle Miller who is the incoming President of the BMW CCA Puget Sound Chapter.
Look here at the September 2007 issue http://bmwpugetsound.com/zundfolge/index.htm
This car was Best of Show at the Club Concours.

Love the license plate holder. Now, if I can only get my dealer to stop drilling before I take delivery.

I'd call the sales manager and insist that if the bumper is drilled you will refuse to accept the car, or thousands off due to damage!

Congrats!

Chris took good care of that car, would have bought that myself if it was on the market when I was looking. We have a Z4 M Coupe get together this Sunday. I'll PM you the info if you can make it.

I'll second what Jim said, take the PCA driver skills class in Bremerton. Best $65 bucks you will spend! The seat time you will get can't be beat.

Yeah, I've had those discussions with my dealer. Problem is the local police department is apparently over zealous in handing out tickets for no license plate and the dealership has had tons of complaints from customers that these bumpers ought to have been drilled.

Hence this particular dealer has a blanket policy to drill ALL cars. Plus it's the law in CA so I'm sure they get away with it.

I'm sure if I pressed hard enough, I could keep them from doing it to my next car, but it's the law so I'll have to display all the time anyway.

Can somebody explain to me why so many people have a coronary over this??

In states that require a front plate, what's wrong with complying with the law and properly affixing one? I've NEVER heard a european complain about this outrageous requirement, and over there, you don't thumb your nose at the law and leave it off, you DO display it, period.

If you put a plate there, the "holes" aren't exposed, so why give a crap that the bumper is drilled? Yeah, front plates are ugly, I get that. If it's a legal requirement, it's hardly as traumatic as so many people make it out to be.

Yes, Great looking car!

On having a front tag. I had one on my 04 Z4 dead center because that car original came out of the NJ area, so a BMW Tag went there, but I agree if it's the law, do it and get over it. I am glad Georgia does not have this requirement, so the M is clean and clear on the front!

Best regards

Aaron, your car looks like something Eartha Kitt might drive.

Listen to I Want to be Evil and see if you agree.
