Unhappy 1999 BMW E46 Lack of power, hesitation, and intermintently no fire.

I have a 99 bmw e46 the car ran great a week ago but recently when i go to fire it up sometimes it will start first try but sometimes it will just keep turning and not start. It also has been having loss of power and a slight miss upon mild to hard acceleration. The fuel filter and plugs were replaced, cleaned the MAF,and checked to make sure their was no moisture in the gas.I had the codes cleared and the only one that came up on scan again was po1o1 i beleive. PLEASE HELP!!!

How many miles do you have on it? I recently had a loss of power caused by a pulley going bad, get your cooling system checked.

I recently had the same problem. My pump was returning the right pressure at idle, but almost nothing was coming out of the return line... it couldn't do much more than idle the car.

When the car starts it idle's and even rev up like a healthy motor it's only during driving conditions it starts acting up.The only code the scanner is picking up is o2 sensor bank 2 sensor 1 i dont see that causing a hard start sometimes

I had this problem recently as well. Could be a failing/weak coil or a fouled spark plug... Are you using the NGK/Bosh/OEM plugs? Are the coils origional? Missfire will cause the O2 sensors to throw a code...

i know this is an old post and sorry if this is a stupid question, but im having similar problems on mine and have just replaced the thermostat and had problems bleeding the car, now the car missfires really bad, backfires pulling off (gaines power imediatley after backfire) and idles really low with lower exhaust tone,,, could the coolant system cause these problems, like ohmyshad said in his post ?
