Replacing thermostat AND aux water pump.

How hard are these to replace?

I have replaced Coolant Thermostat which is not more than a couple of hr job. I know the water pump may take upto 2 hrs but never did the Aux water pump.

A moderate DIYer with right tools can easily do it. A word of caution while doing the thermostat, after it is completed, test it by turning on the heater fan all the way up and make sure you are getting heat in the cabin. If not, then a faulty termostat could sieze the engine.

Its about a two hour job. I just did it on my 06 750li. And it was not that bad of a job at all.

Just a suggestion.If you replacing the auxiliary water pump. Good idea to replace the heater valve at the same time as they are right next to each other. Only looking at a couple of hose clamps to do both. On my 760 they're located below the power steering reservoir. Between the engine and the reservoir. I'm assuming they're in the same location on the V-8.
