I am still waiting to see what you car looks like with the 18"x8.5" BBS Rk's, and the BC Racing Coil-overs...

Was the new torque converter expensive...?

No need for a BBK really, at least until you really learn how to drive the car in some HDPE's and Auto-X/ Solo events IMO...
A nice aggressive pad and a brake fluid flush with some quality brake fluid does wonders IMO...

Thanks!
Jason

Well ...the ball is going to get rolling real soon.

The torque converter Cost $399.00 plus $150.00 for a core charge.

Steering Wheel Question

Nice Upgrades...
I basically did the same on my 01 530 minus the navigation...
Did you change the steering wheel to the sport model? and if so how???

Hey ... Hey ...Sorry folks. Car has been sitting on Jack stands in my garage...partially disassembled. I've been spending a lot of time on non-automotive things, so haven't had a chance to work on the Storm Trooper. I may be able to get the car back on the road this weekend though, as I've been getting the itch to carve some canyons before the summer ends.

I have to make some tough decisions though...I'm going to sell the BBS RK's and the BC Racing Coilovers. The previously mentioned "non-automotive things" are going to require some extra funding. Oddly enough..I've become attached to the BBS CK's that I have on there already. ...and the Billy Sports and Eibach springs are still reasonably fresh (@ 15,000 miles).

Let me know if you guys are interested... I will be putting them in the Classifieds as well. Both went uninstalled:

Wheels are 18x8.5" BBS RK's - E39 Fitment = Prices is $950 shipped

BC Racing Coilovers - Price is $900 shipped

I did in fact install a sport steering wheel. The process is simple, you should be able to google the process, though I did bascially outline the process in my build thread.

Don't count on it until you start seeing updates again. I had to take a modding hiatus, which meant "Stay off of the message boards!!".

Going to do some work on the E90 this weekend and maybe a little on the E39.

I ended up getting it for a steal. I don't know if it's a good thing, but I usually find bargains on stuff for the E39.

Started the car up for the first time in five months in preparation for some major overhauling. This coming long weekend should give me time enough to get the old girl tuned up for the springs. The winter here in Southern California was rough this year!

The merriment was short-lived however...car started blowing white smoke from the exhaust and revving erratically whist idling.

Read these codes:

Good thing I have a new CCV, intake gasket and O2 sensors ready to go in. I'll tackle that all while I'm doing the Vanos Seals, Valve Cover Gasket and Cooling System.
