$20 shipped! I had an old RC car much smaller than these, that came with a charging station. These just run regular batteries dead. In any case, I just got it out a few days ago and let my daughter play with it. She got a huge kick out of it until we left it on the charger for a few hours and apparently the charger malfunctioned and didn't stop charging after 10-15 seconds as it normally would. Battery popped and could have probably caught on fire.

Now these are on the way in time for her birthday.

I think about the only downside to buying so late in the Series lifecycle may be finding all you fine folks leaving the party just as that crowd is arriving.

Yep, the original owner's club will quietly slip into the night............

Meh, that crowd will arrive and it'll be fine. We're all adults. We know not to venture into threads with certain titles. The community of owners will still be immensely helpful as out-of-warranty advice comes up for repairs, maintenance, etc. The glass is half full.

Status status...love it!

I just see the same poster attitude regardless of age/ownership, just different experience and knowledge...

Careful, lest his followers on BF alert him that he has received mention.... He could always return. Kind of like a defective HPFP, making its presence known when you least want to experience it.

Better that he devote his attention to the p-car contingent.

Luckily for you guys, with my current job being what it is (travelling so much I can't enjoy my car) I won't be buying new anytime soon. Meaning I will be here longer for your enjoyment.

Every Saturday I go to my car, turn it on and run the engine for 15 minutes. Can't let rust build up.

Hopefully I will have a road trip to utilize my baby sometime soon

If you can afford 15 minutes to sit with the car while it runs, you can afford to take it on a 15-minute drive. This will not only warm the engine faster, it circulates fluids and lubricates parts that derive no benefit from simply sitting there idling (think: suspension, differential(s), bearings, CV joints, etc.). It also cleans rust off of the brake rotors.

Short periods of idling are honestly doing more harm than good. Try to take a 15-30 minute drive every week, even if only to an Interweb cafe to sign on to BF and tell me I'm an idiot. Your car will thank you for it!

Will do, though I have to be careful. Good parking is at a premium where I live. Unfortunately most people love to play bumper cars when they park. RIght now i have a great spot where only one person can park behind me, and nobody can park behind them...meaning my bumper is not getting "nudged"

Lots of rental cars. Last week I got to drive a lincoln town car. The week before that a Cruze. Before that...hell I don't remember

17 MPG. It was like a floating boat. Very fast, though it doesn't have the handling like a BMW (duh) or any other smaller car (duh). I love couch seats...wouldn't mind having that in my BMW instead of bucket seats

The Cruze is OK - terrible blind spots. I enjoy getting the Sonata

I typically have a 730 AM flight so leave for the airport at 615. Unfortunately no spots to grab then. It's bad - I live in a very popular area of downtown Philly.
