It has nothing to do with my field of study but I am very passionate about cars and BMW's so this is a dream come true. I can't keep driving an hour to and from work, then an hour to school and back home again. It's driving me crazy.

I've actually fallen off my bike because I forgot I was in gear at a light and I let off the clutch. I looked like a total fool.

Don't make the same mistake I did.
When I applied for a job a number of years ago I was told I had to go for a drug test.
I thought it meant they wanted me to test some new drugs.

Better think that over--they'll be looking closely at what you pass to decide if you fail.

Big Moon

Friday night I hauled the tripod and my "big" lens out into the driveway to see if I could get some interesting pics of the big moon. Little did I know what I had actually captured until I downloaded the pics tonight.

This one is my favorite, ( I love the spider web)

But this one has some interest as well

The current M Brand Manager for North America, Matt Russell, started out as a lot jockey IIRC. So, who knows....congrats and good luck!

Very good deal at Skip Barber Racing School

I just got this email and thought I would pass it on,
This is a very worthwhile course and it is being offered at a very good price

Three full days of track time and classroom instruction in race prepared cars with very little traffic on the track.
,
================================================== =============

This just in!

How would you like the once-in-a-lifetime chance to enroll in a Skip Barber Racing School at Lime Rock Park at a huge discount?

Here’s the deal: Lime Rock fans can purchase a Skip Barber competition racing school for just $2,400.

How is this possible?

The Skip Barber Racing School had a corporate customer that had booked the school, but the company was forced to re-schedule. Because the track, instructors and everything else were already paid for, we were given the opportunity to offer to Lime Rock Park fans the chance to enroll in that school – at a super discount.

The Racing School is Monday, May 21 through Thursday, May 24 (Monday and Wednesday are full days, Tuesday and Thursday are half-days).

That’s just before the Lime Rock Season Opener featuring Trans Am and the Sunday Royals Garage Car Show, Memorial Day weekend, Friday through Sunday, May 25-27.

Graduating from this Skip Barber “4-Day” Three Day Racing School makes you eligible for an SCCA regional license AND allows you to sign up for Lime Rock Park “Test & Tune Tuesdays” (meeting the other T&T strictures, of course, which includes having a car that passes racing sanctioning body safety regulations).

Again, if you’re getting this email from Lime Rock Park, you can purchase a Skip Barber competition racing school for only $2,400 – that was the price more than decade ago...

Call a Skip Barber School & Series Advisor at 1.800.221.1131 if you or someone in your family wants to take advantage of this Lime Rock Park special!

Think – and dial – fast!
Your Friends at Lime Rock Park

You know, CA, if it wasn't from you I would think of this as pure spam. Many spam mails start with "how can we offer you this great price...XYZ company cancelled". They all sound so alike that it feels spammy. But we know you...you aren't spammy... that's ///M-Goats job!

I can guarantee you that it is legit. You can go to this link and see that the 3 Day Racing School is $4,000.

http://www.skipbarber.com/formula.asp

It is a very good deal that was offered to those on the LRP mailing list and their friends.
I thought maybe someome here might be interested so I passed it on.

The participants in the class will have varying levels of experience but it could be considered a beginners class. There will be classroom training and then you will be assigned a partner and a car that you and your partner will share. The cars are single seater open wheel race cars so you alternate track sessions with your partner. Your partner will help strap you into the car, hand your helmet, etc. The school will provide helmets and racing suits.

There will be excercises in threshold braking, trail braking, heel and toe downshifting, double clutching etc. By the last day you will be lapping the track as fast as you can. After sucessfully competing this class you will be qualified to participate in Advanced Activities such as Car Control Clinics, and the Advanced Two Day Racing School. There is a lot of seat time over the 4 days and the instructors are top notch. I have taken the course several times and two of my instructors have podium finishes (including two first places) in the Daytona 24 Hour.

A wide variety of people take the course and your classmates will probably include enthusiasts who will take the course and never return to a track and drivers who are interested in racing as amateurs or professionals. Graduates of the course include Danica Patrick, Juan Pablo Montoya, Marco Andretti, Jeff Gordon and others. Jerry Seinfeld took the course and if you look at the refrigerator in his TV kitchen there is a Skip Barber Racing School refrigerator magnet on the door.

Thank you for these. It's been rainy/cloudy every night since the full moon night. I was going to use my fish-eye lens too
