Once it's financed the bank has accepted risk as you have liability. They can dictate full coverage since it is really 'theirs'...if you bought it. If you're renting, er I mean leasing ( ) , I think the same applies.

I bought 2008 convertible 325i couple of weeks ago, and when I took it to the first car wash, the roof leaked, big amount of water. Then, few days later, I opened the roof and drove normally, when I reached and wanted to close the roof it got stuck. the 3 top peices came out of the trunk, and the rear lid closed, but the three peices got stuck just above the rear seat. nothing could move it back. I called the dealer and had the car put on recovery. now I am still waiting to tell me how much it will cost.

Have anyone had similar problem? What did you do this case? and if I fix it is there a probability that the same will happen again, I mean soon?

Speaking of the GT-R, I saw one at the local supermarket the other day. I never noticed how H-U-G-E the tailpipes are on that thing. Quad exhausts, each of which looks large enough to swallow a softball, plus or minus a millimeter or two.

The GT-R was there when I left the store. When I arrived, 15 minutes earlier, a Ferrari 400i had been parked in the same space. I was tempted to hang around another half-hour to see what arrived next (Veyron?).

I know of the mod on the forum which banned you. Consider it a badge of honor. I used to be a regular there under another name. I finally decided that the place wasn't worth dealing with a petty dictator and left. Funny thing is, a lot of the 'Sticky' information there is mine!

Happy Birthday, car--two years old as of last week. (The occasion didn't seem quite momentous enough to revive any of the ancient rear-fog threads.)

Last year's (belated) gift was the center-console iPod pouch. For next year I'm thinking either the seat-back nets or Euro (amber) rear turn signals. One step closer to equipping it the way it should have been, before BMW NA stripped the little touches!
