A road trip to the east is certainly in the plan one of these days. If C2C is still in session then, we'd probably like to plan around that. But it's highly doubtful it'll happen this year.
Just pay me $250 I will babysit for you....so you and lovely wife can have romantic moments.

By the way....I have to go back read all 9 pages. This is a party thread and I think it should be sticky!

Well, I wouldn't rely on them as they're designed to announce underinflation, not proper inflation. Sort of like the over-heating 'dummy light' on an old Mercury I had years ago. By the time it came on, the engine was essentially ruined. Nice reminder though.
I found it! For bracket Y tires, the (tire) manufacturer will usually increase speed capability in 12.5 mph increments over 186 -- very vehicle specific. For the Ferarri Italia, bracket Y means 211 mph (but still check the pressure before launch).

Only if going to the rifle range. My gun case has a large sign on the side: "Los Angeles Phiharmonic - Fragile" My neighbors freak out about guns you see. They think I play the Bass Flute and appreciate that I don't practice at home.
(it's too big for a violin case, and that may attract invites to perform at parties, etc. NOBODY wants a Bass flute at their wedding)

Jocamryn and I never stopped exchanging pm's. He had some very legitimate beefs about how I went about airing a complaint by making a thread rather than going through channels. I felt that an attempt at humor had fallen flat, and what had started out as a "fun thread" for all parties deteriorated, and it was never my intention to let it get that far. He said I shouldn't have started the thread in question, I said it was never my intention for the eventual consequences to occur.
He and I, over the course of 10 days and many pm's, were able to reach an understanding about each other's viewpoints. He strongly presented his points and I strongly presented mine. In the end I agreed that I could have caught more flys with honey than vinegar. He agreed that my intentions were not as scurrulous as they first appeared.
As strident as we were in making our arguments we never stopped trying to work it out behind the scenes. I have a lot of respect for jocamryn for sticking up for his principles, and standing by his friend, and for continuing to come to the table to see if peace could be made. I believe it was.

Group hug? BORING

I have a friend in Cali Columbia. I'm thinking about taking the family down for a couple of weeks this summer - 1 in the city at his place and 1 on the Caribbean island of San Andreas at his family vacation home with his family. Worth $12,000 or so? I'm not quite as well off as BJ and I have a daughter who will need tuition starting in August '12, possibly at MIT.

Is this a 'you only live once' moment? Anyone ever spend this kind of cash on a vaca and regretted it?

One thing for sure, when I dropped $20K on the month long family ED trip last summer it was WELL worth it......

Don't get on my list mecodoug!

MIT is what, 50K a year now? Your daughter should max out student loans, and see about scholarships and assistance once she makes it through Freshman year. MIT gets all the press, but there are less expensive schools which give an equivalent education. No doubt though that MIT on your curriculum vitae opens doors.
Go to Columbia, spend less money. How do you come up with $12K for two weeks when you are staying with friends? This world traveler can't see that kind of cost.

I don't know I think this thread is not great. It's too random. 5 different conversations, confuses me. I say we plan a revolt.
