LI = more room
I = more sporty "i" with sports package was what I wanted, only person sitting in back is my 3yo son and sometimes my daughters. We are not short (5' 11'' and taller) and fit perfectly well with plenty of room. I guess if I had a chauffeur, I would get the 760 with rear comfort seat. Now that car has an amazing rear seat package but BMW is a drivers car so if someone else was driving the car I would get something with executive seats in rear and not so fun to drive  .

LI only because of the additional room so that my 4yr old does not kick my seat as her little feet cannot reach.

pass427, funny you should say that. My son is tall, real tall for his age. I got the leg issue fixed with simple warning/toy reward (if he stops hitting it), the bigger issue is he wont leave the privacy curtains alone so I can't use them. The privacy curtains were one of my requirements for his sake. pfft.

LI all the way for me. Kids can't even reach the back of my seat to kick it which saves on cleaning and the crying which would happen after I tanned their hides for it.

Im on my 2nd i, the i is way sportier, but if you need back seat room the li is the way to go.

i say LI. pretty much didn't buy the car because of the sportiness. it makes a statement and in general stands out. i don't use the extra room for anything but still plenty of room to have a little fun in if you wanted to

I like them both, but I went with an "I".
I think the "I" looks more proportional from a side view. The Li is obviously elongated at the rear end. I wouldn't mind it so much if both the front and back doors were longer in proportion. Just the back doors as long as they are make it look odd. No doubt, its' better if you don't drive, but are driven!
