It is quite a view.

I would highly recommend staying at the Hotel Mount Washington. It is a great place and adds a lot to the Climb to the Clouds experience.

Agreed. And if you can't (or don't want to) swing the price for the rooms at the Mt. Washington Hotel, the Omni Bretton Arms Inn at Mount Washington Resort is on the same property right next door and generally is cheaper (and doesn't require a minimum night's stay). It's a very nice place and highly recommended.

CA,

Here's a photo of a diesel making the climb from 2010. Feel free to use it.

Yup. the rates I got us last year were good, and did not require any min night stay. The Bretton arms is a great option - it is really really close.

Also, when we got back from sat night dinner last year, we just hung out in the common area - drank and chatted. It was a lot of fun.

The entire experience is great

EDIT: Once the official thread is up, with the timing, I will contact the hotel and make the plan

We may have been the only d on the climb last year. Since we found out over the weekend that our daughter got into Caltech, we may not have enough $ to make this year. But, we'll see if we can work it out.....
