Third year, so yes. The exact weekend varies based on other events...it's never good to try and get hotel rooms when a ton of other events are happening. Lots of traffic (something we definitely don't want), harder to book hotel rooms/restaurants/etc. Though last year going to a bar full of bikers was fun.
the original jim"s is still there.. best in philly same goes with the rib crib......

We are booked at Bretton Arms for Saturday night. My son is going to join me for the ride. He has the strongest stomach of my kids and will probably be playing pokemon on his ds most of the ride. The rest of the family is meeting at the hotel. Anybody up for zip lining on Sunday?

Is it true that the group rate is not active until the 20th?

I am looking forward to the climb. I missed it last year due to my dad's wedding. The first one was fun.

The person I worked with told me it will be active around the 20th. I told her to call me when it is active. Keep your booking but when it is active just have it cancelled and rebook it for the lower rate.

I might pop up for a day or two as I have to visit my elderly mother in Mass. at this time. I'll remain "incognito"...you'll never guess that I'm P&G, and a good friend (BMW indy shop) has generously agreed to lend me a BMW for three days. White BMW 8-series! Not. It will be difficult to resist checking tire pressures or looking for FMVSS violations -- thus blowing my cover. I'll check the "Captain's" tire pressures when he least suspects it. Reports will be made.

Wait a minute. If you pop up there, I want to ride shotgun. Do you think I could be incognito, too?

You'll have to dye your hair, cover your feet, hide the Texas accent (VERY conspicuous in New Hampshire)...not talk about dental or chemical issues. I think it's impossible. You're a dead-giveaway. I'd say that you'll be identified in about two nanoseconds...but EVERYONE would be DELIGHTED to meet you, you're such a joy!

You're right, incognito might not work so well, so you'll just have to report back to me.

Fix't.

I'm working on the co-pilot thing.

Also folks, remember, I have group rates setup at the Omni Mt Washington Hotel and Bretton Arms. II will make a post as soon as I hear it is setup(expected Wed), but if you call and make group reservation (under BMW Race for the Cure), then post here. I think a bunch of us are trying to get dinner together on Friday night, so it would be fun to see everyone.

The only issue I have is that "Renaultf1" should change their name to "Lotusf1", apart from that I am good. No "YankeeDickwad" this year?

Alright folks, call them up and book your rooms (or rebook) for those who made earlier reservations.

Please PM dsx and myself if you are going to stay there and when you will arrive. It will help to track folks

DSX designs the schedule, but if it is anything like last year:
We meet up for breakfast
We drive to a few spots
We drive up/down Mt Washington
We stop by the hotel to let some folks see it
We drive a crazy twisty road
We have dinner/auction/laughs

From there those who stay at the hotel (and even those who want to hang out) go back to the hotel.

Again, please shoot DSX and I a PM if you are staying at the hotel. As we get closer to that time frame I plan on messaging everyone at the hotel so when people arrive they can look up other folks.

Don't forget to include a name, and cell if you are comfy with it Oh and the night you check in. I think a bunch of us are planning on doing dinner together on Friday night.

I aim to please. Again don't forget to send me that PM

Regards

Furball
Count us in for Friday night dinner. Has a place been picked or are we eating at the hotel?

I was thinking the hotel. I wouldn't mind getting the full experience. Given that, Angler said he was looking into it.

If we decide to eat at their facilities I might be able to get them to give us a discount. We just need to agree.

Others who are staying at Mt Washington Resorts or who would like to hang out on Friday night please feel free to chime in.

On a side note, anyone who is not staying at Mt Washington but wants to hang out on Friday night should feel free to. I plan on eating, drinking, and causing mischief. I think we should flatten the tires of all Audi's and rebadged Toyota's that we see!

Stickneys
Found on the patio level of the Omni Mount Washington Hotel, this all-new pub and steak house brings "farm-to-table" to the North Country, integrating fresh local and regional products with the finest ingredients available. Serving lunch and dinner daily, sit by the fire on a cool evening or enjoy al fresco dining in the warmer months.

Reservations are strongly suggested for dinner, please call 800.314.1752.

The Cave
Across from Stickney's on the Patio level of the Hotel, The Cave is a prohibition-era speakeasy with stone walls and live evening entertainment - an experience and atmosphere not to be missed!

The Rosebrook Bar
Share an afternoon beverage and light fare while enjoying the spectacular New Hampshire mountain views. This lounge is located behind the grand staircase in the Great Hall. Be sure to check out the lounge menu, including house-made gourmet pizzas and the classic mini cheeseburgers, perfect as an entrée or a shared appetizer.

The Princess Room
Enjoy a relaxing cocktail in this elegant lounge before moving to The Dining Room for dinner.
