I like this button

Finally drove my 335is with the sport button pushed. What a hoot. The more I drive this car, and I mean DRIVE this car, the more I like it. the exhaust note and quick shifting DCT are just icing on the cake!!

You have more willpower than me. That would've been the first thing I engaged.

Mein Auto:
Took me a week to push the button

Did a crazy highway sprint going from 60 to 120. Without much effort in passing its to easy to go from 60-90. I had to setup a speed warning at 75. Now its annoyingly dinging at me all the time. Looked down and holy crap, need to slow down when I was passing someone. The 335is seems to laugh at your acceleration effort like.... really 100.. 120 is all you can do.

Actually driving in manual DCT mode I think slows the car down because you tend to hold the gear longer and the car wants to leap forward once you shift. At full acceleration you have to plow quickly through each gear.

I'm not sure I could tell a difference with sport button on. Try driving a little harder in S mode then try S mode with sport button. Definitely there is a difference in D/Economy mode.

You do know to push the shifter to the left to get to sport auto, and then engaging the sport button gives you the extra icing on the cake?

You can use the paddle shifters while in the normal shifter position auto mode and the car will automatically return from manual to auto in about 15 seconds. The same is true with the the shifter in the normal position and with the sport button engaged.

Sport button only enaged will raise the RPMs a bit and give you a bit more aggressive gear ratio.

Sport button enaged with the shifter in the left position will give you higher raised RPMs and an even more aggressive gear ratio.

Using the paddle shifters with the shifter in the left position will keep it in the manual mode. You have to return the shifter to the right/normal position in order to disengage the manual mode.

You think that button's good? Try the sport button to engage sport chrono on a Cayman S.

Porsche: Accept no substitute, unless you're poor!

The E90 sedan is the last in the line of great 4 door 3 Series BMW's. Too bad.
