The OSV is on the driver side behind the timing chain, right under the cylinder head.
PVC valve? Can you be more specific? |

The PCVV (positive crankcase ventilation valve , AKA rear cover of the intake) #2 in the intake picture attached ,
the OSV (oil separator valve) # 1 in pic attached ,is behind the timing chain as described. The pipe # 5 goes under the intake, if you will look down, under the intake, close to the throttle , you will see one end of it where connects to the OSV. The PCCV is the one with the membrane that goes bad ussually. What are your symptoms? Last edited by joyism5; 04-13-2011 at 08:18 PM. |

Shopping suggestions :
use realOEM.com to find your part# Shop on the net, you could use sponsor list or bimmerspecialist.com PCVV buy OEM, Non OEM last around 2-3 months if you have badluck. I had and I changed 2 + the OEM. Replace all the O-rings and pipe from OSV to PCVV. |

Here's the link : http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts...81&hg=11&fg=40
Attached are another pic. You don't need to remove the intake unless you change the pipe OSV->PCVV |
